Cardiovascular Diagnostic Tests
We offer non-invasive cardiac tests to assess the health and function of your heart:
- Electrocardiogram (ECG): A quick and painless test that records the electrical activity of your heart to detect any irregularities in rhythm or signs of heart damage.
- ECG Stress Test (Treadmill Test): This test monitors your heart's electrical activity while you exercise on a treadmill. It helps to identify potential problems with blood flow to the heart that may not be apparent at rest.ECG Stress Test (Treadmill Test): This test monitors your heart's electrical activity while you exercise on a treadmill. It helps to identify potential problems with blood flow to the heart that may not be apparent at rest.
- Holter Test: A portable ECG monitor that continuously records your heart's electrical activity for 24-48 hours (or longer if needed). It is useful for detecting intermittent heart rhythm problems that may not be captured during a standard ECG.
Pleural Tapping (Thoracentesis)
Pleural tapping is a procedure to remove excess fluid that has accumulated in the pleural space, the area between the lungs and the chest wall. This fluid buildup (pleural effusion) can be caused by various medical conditions. The procedure involves inserting a needle or a thin plastic tube into the pleural space to drain the fluid for diagnostic purposes (to analyze the fluid) or therapeutic relief (to ease breathing).
Peritoneal Tapping (Paracentesis)
Peritoneal tapping is a procedure to remove excess fluid (ascites) that has accumulated in the peritoneal cavity, the space within the abdomen. Ascites can be caused by liver disease, kidney disease, heart failure, or other medical conditions. The procedure involves inserting a needle or a thin plastic tube into the abdomen to drain the fluid for diagnostic analysis or to relieve pressure and discomfort.
Blood Transfusion:
Blood transfusion is a procedure in which donated blood or blood components are given to a patient. This may be necessary in cases of severe anemia, significant blood loss due to injury or surgery, or certain blood disorders. Our clinic is equipped to safely administer blood transfusions when clinically indicated, following strict protocols and ensuring patient safety.
Skin Biopsy
A skin biopsy is a procedure where a small sample of skin is removed for microscopic examination by a pathologist. This is a crucial diagnostic tool for various skin conditions, including rashes, moles, lesions, and suspected skin cancers. Different types of biopsies (e.g., shave biopsy, punch biopsy, excisional biopsy) may be performed depending on the nature and location of the skin issue.
